5-inch BlackBerry Z30 leaks in another video (Not the device BB should be planning at the current stage)

After seeing it in leaked images next to the BlackBerry Z10 and all on its own, and then watching it start in a brief video (recently pulled), we know get to see the BlackBerry Z30 (previously A10 or Aristo) in a longer clip.
The video shows the device from top to bottom and is more of a detailed hands-on than a quick peek. The device is going to sport a 5" 720p display and a dual-core Krait chipset. In the detailed walk though the hardware and the software features of the device are shown off. This one has a placeholder as the BlackBerry X00 rather than the previously seen Z00 on the back of the device, behind the battery cover. Apart from these nothing new in this leak. Here's the video itself. The device has an AT&T logo on it, which gives us the first availability info, although we are yet to learn any dates.
In a peek at the back of the device you can clearly make out two specs printed next to the battery compartment. First, the Z30 features a 5-inch HD AMOLED display. That could mean that it’s using the same 1920×1080 panel as the Samsung Galaxy S4, though HD doesn’t always mean 1080P.
BlackBerry says the Z10 is HD, too, and it’s got a 1280×768 pixel display. That’s a resolution that can work on a 5-inch phone, as long as the panels are of good quality — and BlackBerry has been doing a good job of picking screens for its devices ever since the PlayBook started shipping.
Also noted on the back is that the Z30 packs a 2800mAh battery — which is slightly larger than the one in the GS4 and quite a bit bigger than the HTC One and Moto X. There’s also a micro SD expansion slot, HDMI output, and micro USB port like the Z10.Other reported specs include a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The Z30 has surfaced before, too. The same site that recorded this new hands on had a strikingly similar (read: identical) phone that it was calling the A10.The A10′s name has been popping up in rumors for months, sticking with Z for all-touch phones and Q for QWERTY certainly makes sense.
The big question is whether a phone with last year’s specs and an OS that has now slid into fourth spot behind Windows Phone will be enough to attract consumers. The Moto X showed that there are other ways to drum up sales, but based on the video the BlackBerry Z30 doesn’t have nearly as much going for it.
The Z30 really doesn’t look like the phone BlackBerry needs right now.

Apple iPhone 5S leaked parts point to a dual LED flash

Apple is tipped to unveil its next-generation iPhone and the much anticipated low-budget iPhone, on September 10. The two smartphones are reportedly going to be called iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, respectively, and have already stared in numerous leaks. The latest rumors, includes a few photos of the spare parts that are allegedly destined for the iPhone 5S and confirm the presence of a dual LED flash.
The leaked images show us the elongated hole for the flash that are widely used to house dual LED flash. The port is very small for the usual Xenon flash, so if the leaked images are to be trusted, the iPhone 5S will indeed come out with a dual LED flash. The iPhone 5S has been rumored to have an improved camera sensor with a Dual LED flash for better low-light performance for some time now. Last week, we even saw that purported camera sensor for the device, that had a separate flash module, indicating a Dual LED flash was probable. The iPhone 5S has been rumored to have a 12MP camera with an improved lens, along with a Dual LED flash and morePrevious images showed one white LED and one red/orange. It could just be for advanced auto white balance and color correction. If so, it would certainly fit in with previous improvements to Apple’s camera. While other manufacturers are all trying to make images bigger, and upping the ISO levels, Apple’s continuous aim is to just make images better. Something it’s achieved with the iPhone every year since its inception.
Apart from the addition of the dual LED flash, it looks like the design of the upcoming Apple iPhone 5S will remain identical to the previous edition.
However, Apple is expected to make some under-the-hood changes and bring some more firepower to its smartphone. But until September comes we’ll have to live on such leaks and play the guessing game about what exactly is the new iPhone going to be all about.

iPhone 5C confirmed (name and design) cases and covers listed on Amazon. Apple iPhone 5C in red leaks

Popular iPhone case maker SPIGEN has launched a series of cases and a screen protector for the heavily rumored affordable iPhone 5C. This acts as a pretty serious confirmation that the phone does exist and we're likely to see it make an appearance alongside the iPhone 5S next month.
SPIGEN has also uploaded a bunch of marketing photos of their cases featuring iPhone 5C renders. Its photos align almost too perfectly with the recent leaks the device got during the past couple of weeks, so it might also be a cheap publicity stunt.
There's one difference though - according to those exact leaks, the iPhone 5C lacks the silence mode switch, but as we can see from SPIGEN's image below it's present and is placed exactly where you'd expect it to be - above the volume rocker.
If a report by AllthingsD is to be believed, Tim Cook and his trusty VPs are going to announce both the new iPhone lineup at an event on September 10. And if SPIGEN's Amazon listing is correct we can expect the smartphone to go on sale on September 20.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have already lost count on the number of leaks we saw for Apple's alleged budget iPhone also known as iPhone 5C. We've heard that the C in iPhone 5C might stand for color, and that might just be the case as now we see the alleged red version of the smartphone.A set of photos leaked earlier this week revealed that the iPhone 5S doesn't look much different from the iPhone 5. Now a new series of photos has surfaced, providing a closer look at Apple's rumoured low-budget iPhone, codenamed iPhone 5C, allegedly set to unveil alongside the iPhone 5S this autumn.
The iPhone 5C is supposedly a plastic-bodied smartphone. Previously leaked images have shown what it could look like, but these new images of both white and red shells for the device offer some better, more high-resolution detail.

Looking at the white shell, which came from leakster Sonny Dickson, there are many obvious iPhone 5 features such as a Lightning cable port, headphone jack and speaker grille. However, you might notice the speaker grille has been paired down extensively to just a handful of holes.
The red shell, which came from leakster C Technology, is practically identical to the white casing (aside from colour, obviously). The images aren't as high quality as the ones from Dickson, although it's still more evidence that Apple certainly has something up its sleeve. Also, according to a frequent commenter on Chinese social website Weibo, the iPhone 5C will release for 3,000 yuan SIM-free. This translates to £320 - or the current price for the 8GB iPhone 4 SIM-free. At that price, Apple could certainly give the HTC One mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 mini a run for their money. The red plastic shell is just one of a few colorful options for the iPhone 5C. Apple is betting on color and we have seen yellow, green, blue and white versions of the device.

The leaked image shows us a box containing an alleged spare digitizer and screen for the next iPhone.
The good news is the leak marathon is now entering its final stages - the next iPhone and its budget counterpart should be announced at the start of next month.

Asus has Padfone Mini, MeMO Pad HD 8 and MeMOFone HD 5 plans ahead

we see two slides acquired from an ASUS presentation that took place earlier today in France. The presentation was of the ASUS roadmap, which aside from the already announced Nexus 7 and the Memo Pad HD 7 mentions the PadFone Mini, MeMO Pad HD 8 and MeMOFone HD 5.

Aside from the names we don't get specifics on the hardware. The PadFone Mini could be a competitor to the HTC One mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 mini but could also refer to another full-sized PadFone but with a downsized tablet in tow.
The MeMO Pad HD 8 should be an 8" device with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, with similar specs to the PadFone HD 7.
As for the MeMOFone HD 5, one can easily guess it will be a 5-incher, but it's unclear if HD stands for 720p or 1080p. We'd bet on the former as it would make sense to make it more affordable than the PadFone's that are currently on offer.
Finally we come to the Transformer Pad FHD and HD. These could be referring to the current Infinity and 300 series only with a name-change or could turn to be either a new flagship device and auxiliary lower-res sidekick.
These slides provide names but no information on release dates, prices or solid specs info, but we'll let you know if we hear anything.

Samsung SmartWatch : Samsung Galaxy Gear

After Sony and Google, Samsung is also reported to be working on its own version of a smart watch. Though Samsung has not said anything officially about its smart watch, it has filed a trademark for an accessory under the name 'Galaxy Gear,' which is now speculated to be a smart watch.

The trademark has been spotted on the website of USPTO (United States Patent and Trade Office).

Samsung smart watch to be called Galaxy Gear

Earlier, Samsung's executive vice president Lee Young Hee hinted at the existence of the smart watch by saying, "We've been preparing the watch product for so long. We are working very hard to get ready for it. We are preparing products for the future, and the watch is definitely one of them.”

However, what features and functionalities Samsung will be adding to the watch is still to be seen. Samsung's smart watch is also expected to come with newer functionality like a miniature IR remote control.

Motorola Moto X in Neon Green appears and camera specs leak

The upcoming smartphone from the Google-owned Motorola is one of the worst kept secrets in the tech world. The device has been leaked numerous times ahead of its announcement. We have also seen the official press renders of the Moto X and let's not forget the leaked hands-on video, which guided us through the user interface.

Moto X was seen in public for the first time in the hands of Eric Schmidt, the Google's Executive Chairman. Now, however we get to see the device in its Neon Green paint job at what seems to be a corporate party.

The upcoming Moto X will sport a 4.7-inch 720p display and is powered by a dual-core 1.7 GHz processor. The smartphone also features a 10.5 megapixel rear camera, 2.1 megapixel front camera, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Moto X is also rumored to be available in light blue, red, purple color variant along with the Black, White and the Neon Green paint job, which have already been leaked. We will know more about the device in the two days, when Motorola officially announces it.

Also , Motorola Moto X is going to be announced just two days from now, but the leaks torrent is speeding up. We already know its alleged specs, looks and protection details, but today we got some additional information on the camera.
According to Taylor Wimberly, former editor for Android and Me, the Moto X will feature a 10MP Clear Pixel camera with a pixel size of 1.4 microns. This means the pixels will be larger than those on the Galaxy S4 sensor (1.1µm), but smaller than HTC One's (2µm). The bigger pixels, combined with the Clear Pixel technology should go a long way towards improving the low-light performance.
The Motorola Moto X camera is said to be capable of recording 1080p videos at 60 frames per second - a first for a smartphone. The camcorder will use pixel binning, combining information from 4 pixels to reduce noise and provide clearer videos.
Finally, the Moto X will pack three microphones and will be capable of recording 3D audio.

Moto X final details ! (Magic Glass, Hands on video , official press shots)

Vietnamese site Tinhte has once again leaked the anticipated Moto X device from Motorola. It's shown here running what looks like mostly stock Android with Motorola's signature circle widget. It's also shot alongside an Apple iPhone 5. Meanwhile, (unofficial) pricing information on the handset has been revealed as well, with the device coming in at $299 for the 16GB model, and $349 for the 32GB version. It seems that being made in the USA will not have a significant impact on the price, either. In Europe, you can expect the Moto X to cost €299 and €349, respectively. The oft-leaked Moto X is slated to run on a dual-core 1.7 GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 4.7-inch 720p display. There's also a 10.5 MP camera with 2.1 MP front-facer, 16 GB of internal memory, all running on android 4.2.2 - although with a possible Android 4.3 announcement from Google just around the corner, that last bit may change. We'll hopefully find out more about the device come August 1 when the it is slated to get announced in New York City. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GMjvezAPS40
Be sure to check back with us then! By now we know almost there is to know about the upcoming Moto X, which would be officially announced three days from now on August 1.

@evleaks, who have given us plenty of Moto X images until now, have these final set of press shots, in both black and white, that give a good clear look at the device. We assume these will be the default colors and on top of that you would be able to customize the look and feel from Motorola's website. Whatever it is, we don't have to wait too long now to find out. According to Taylor Wimberly, former editor for Android and Me, the Moto X will feature a specially-treated Gorilla Glass. That will not only cover the entire front of the smartphone, but will also wrap around its sides, making for a neat gapless desing.

Motorola and Google will likely call the surface Magic Glass. The Moto X will also likely sport a laminated aluminum structure making for a tough and yet light construction.

We've already seen the Moto X official images and even saw a video of the device in action, and saw it in the hands of Eric Schmidt, the list goes on and on. It's likely the device will feature a 4.7" 720p display, 10 MP camera, a 1.7 GHz Krait processor, 2 gigs of RAM, expandable storage and the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on tap.

There's not much left to wait for the Moto X, which will make its debut on August 1 in the Big Apple.

Samsung working on 2 large screen Tablets

Samsung has covered almost all kinds of existing tablet screen sizes, but it looks like the South Koreans are planning to take its tablets another step further. According to the popular tipster evleaks, Samsung is working on a 12.2-inch tablet with the model number “SM-P900″.
The Samsung SM-P900 is said to feature a 12.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Aleaked user agent profile had earlier suggested a mysterious device with a similar resolution, so SM-P900 could well be a device in the making.
Additionally, the screen size has also been spotted on the Indian shipping website Zauba, which comes with the model number “SM-P905″ (could well be a cellular enabled variant of the SM-P900). The 12-2-inch tablet is also rumored to feature an Exynos 5 Octa processor along with S-Pen support.
Samsung is also said to be working on a 10-inch tablet with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, according to evleaks. The slate is obviously targeted at users who would prefer a slate with a smaller display, while maintaining the high resolution. The SM-P600 is reported to be powered by Snapdragon 800 processor to provide enhanced user experience.
The existence of the 10-inch tablet is again confirmed by user agent profile, which also suggests that the upcoming slate would run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Unfortunately, there is no official word on either the SM-P900 or SM-P600 at the moment. However, Samsung might announce the tablets along with the Galaxy Note III on September 4 in Berlin or during the IFA 2013 exhibition.

LG G2 leaks AGAIN !

How many more LG G2 leaks until the official unveiling on August 7? Well, one more, at least today! It looks like either LG is doing an awful job at keeping this device secret, or, on the contrary, an exceptional job at controlling the leaks. The LG G2 just can't stay off camera these days, and its latest batch of photos not only shows the device, but also confirms the capacity of its battery Either way, here are two new shots of the upcoming flagship and they seem to match previous leaks. 2,610mAh is the capacity appearing on this image above, and the good news is that it is user removable. You can see the camera and those rockers on the back, while the image above gives us yet another glance at its slim bezels. Five-point-something is the size rumored (5.2-inches, to be more specific, according to this report), and the resolution should be at 1080p.
Other rumored specs include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, and the battery confirmed above (in case LG didn’t change its mind about the size in the final unit). LG has fitted the G2 with a 2,610mAh juice pack that is user-removable. This means you'll be able to carry a spare and keep on using the device for those extra long spells away from chargers.
The 5.2" 1080p display shown in one of the photos certainly look the part. The company has ditched hardware keys in favor of software ones, which will have a transparent background. LG has given the status bar the same treatment.
The LG G2 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor and 2GB of RAM. At the back, you can spot the 13MP optically stabilized camera with LED flash and the volume rocker around it. It'll be interesting to experience how the unique volume rocker placement would feel once we get some personal time with the device.
The company posted the second teaser for its upcoming flagship and the New York event where it'll be announced. Be sure to tune in on August 7 to find out the full LG G2 details.

LG G2 leaks in new colour variants

The LG G2 has leaked numerous times already. This is why we mostly have a handle on the specs it will have – 5.2" 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2, 13MP camera and 2,540mAh battery.
We even saw several teaser videos that don't really give away anything but the taglines "To me, you are perfect" and "Learning from you" and show a short glimpse of the characteristic back with two buttons next to the camera.
Now there are a couple of new leaked images of the LG G2, which show a potential change in design. The curved back covered in glossy plastic can be seen in four different color versions – Black, Blue, Red and Purple. That's a departure from the clean glass look of the Optimus G and G Pro.

Leaked images show different colors
At the same time, the teaser site is available in two color versions – White and Black. Clicking between the two nothing but the background changes. Is this a slight hint that the G2 will stick to the black and white colors of its predecessor? Those could be snap-on back panels as one observant reader points out. We'll find out for sure on August 7.
The good news is the event will be livestreamed, so you can watch the unveiling live.

Nokia to launch a 6" device with a very thin Bezel (leaked image)

Nokia is on a product launching spree, rolling out as many as seven handsets in a span of just four months. Now, a leaked picture suggests that the Finnish company is working on its biggest smartphone eveWe've heard rumors of a phablet in the works from Nokia for a while now. Back in May we even saw a (blurry) glimpse of what appeared to be a large-screened Nokia device, expected to see the light of day as the Lumia 1030.
This latest leak which supposedly comes from a factory floor in China brings the phablet one step closer to reality. It measures 6-inches in diagonal and is supposedly already being mass-produced by Nokia.
As you can tell from the image, it has a very thin bezel and looks to also feature a slot for a front-facing camera. Unfortunately there's nothing else that we can make out from it and the source didn't provide any additional specs either. The publication adds that Nokia is already mass producing the deviceThat would put it right along with humongous devices like the Galaxy Mega series, if true, of course. Judging by the size of the device compared to how small the hand holding it looks like, we have no reason to doubt this. That would allow a 1080p display that almost seems like a must for such a huge screen.
It's possible Nokia may be readying this device for the anticipated Windows Phone GDR3 update. The new release is set to start seeding by the end of the year and will add support for 1080p resolution to the Windows Phone 8 platform as well as an additional column of tiles - perfect for larger, phablet-esque displays.

Sony Xperia Z Honami leaks AGAIN

With alleged press shots, headlining 20MP camera and purported specifications now out in the wild, the Sony Xperia Honami has been leaked yet again in a bunch of a live photos. Those look to be the real deal, aligning nicely with previous live shots.
Anyway, the Xperia Honami has kept a lot of the charm of the Xperia Z it is said to succeed at the company's smartphone flagship throne. With a glass covered back and sharp edges all around, it's definitely a looker. The photos confirm the large loudspeaker grill, that is a slight departure from the current OmniBalance design.
Furthermore, the dedicated camera key on the right hand side underlines the cameraphone status of the smartphone. It's said to be a 20 megapixel Exmor RS unit, which will feature the Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor, but its sensor will measure 1/2.3" rather than the previously rumored 1/1.6".
According to the person, who took the photos, the camera software isn't close to its final version. Since the resolution settings in the camera app were missing, too, he couldn't confirm if the phone packs a 20MP camera.
The specs sheet goes on with a flagship-worthy 5" 1080p display, 2.2GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU and 2GB of RAM on a Snapdragon 800 chipset. The battery, while still non-removable, will be bumped to 3,000mAh, from the 2,330mAh on the Xperia Z.
Just like the Xperia Z, the Sony Xperia Honami is said to be IP57 certified, which it is completely dust-protected and will withstand a meter of water for 30 minutes.
Sony is expected to announce the Xperia Honami at a dedicated press event on September 4 in Berlin

Motorola X camera UI leaked in new screenshots

More leaks have surfaced of the upcoming the Motorola X smartphone, this time regarding the software on the device, specifically the camera software.

As it can be seen from these screenshots, Motorola has gone for a brand new UI for the camera application that is unlike their standard UI seen on their previous DROID phones, nor is it like the stock Android camera app.
The new camera software relies on gestures to bring up menus on screen. A swipe from the left side of the screen brings up a circular menu that reminds vaguely of controls in the stock Android browser (once you enable the Quick controls). You can seemingly turn the menu to reveal additional options. Swiping from the right takes you to the image gallery. To zoom you swipe up and down on the screen and tap to take a picture. Other than this, the UI is extremely clean and uncluttered.
Anyone expecting a completely stock Android experience on the Motorola X (with Google owning Motorola and all) would be disappointed by this but then this isn't such a bad thing as the standard camera application in stock Android is mediocre at best. It would be interesting to see what other changes have Motorola included in the software on the X.
There's not much to say beyond what you can see in the picture gallery below, but the new camera interface is very clean and slick. Swiping from the left side of the screen will produce an on-screen scroll wheel menu, with options including: HDR mode, flash settings, focus options, slow-motion video mode, panorama, location data, volume settings (for video), and Quick Capture – the funky feature we saw in the Rogers commercial whereby you flick your wrist to launch the camera, even if your phone is off or locked. Looks like you can turn the feature off too, so you're not constantly taking pocket photos when riding your bike.
Swiping from the right hand side will produce Gallery view. There's nicely transparent soft keys for switching from front to rear cameras, and the same for switching between camera and video mode. Zooming is performed by swiping up and down on the touchscreen and you can take a single shot by touching anywhere on the touchscreen, or take multiple shots by holding your finger down.

Samsung Galaxy Note II with Snapdragon 600 surfaces

Samsung launched its second-generation Galaxy Note phablet last Fall and we are already waiting for its Galaxy Note III successor to come. It appears, though that the Koreans aren't done with their previous-gen phablet according to a leaked benchmark result, which points to a refreshed version of the Note II. The device was allegedly rocking the Snapdragon 600 chipset and not the Exynos 4412 it originally packs.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note II variant was spotted in an AnTuTu benchmark database and its entry revealed its N7108D model number. The original Galaxy Note II was carrying the N7100 model code. The last digit suggests that the new device is headed to China and the benchmark entry itself was submitted from there, so we might not see a global release of the refreshed version.
Anyway, the scorecard gave a sneak peak at some of the specs of the updated Galaxy Note II. The phablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.9 GHz (just like the one in theGalaxy S4 I9505 version) and will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Impressively enough, the supposedly upcoming Galaxy Note II variant has managed to score 26,901 points. That is a significant upgrade over the currently available international version that managed just 13,562 points on the same test.
Unfortunately, there is no official word from Samsung yet and there is no confirmation on the authenticity of the benchmark result, so take it all with a pinch of salt
Samsung has not yet commented on the report and it is likely to announce something in this regard before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note III on or around September 4 this year.

Canon testing EOS-1D X successor with alleged 75MP+ Pro DSLR

A pre-production high resolution Canon DSLR is currently undergoing field testing. The camera is a pro-sized body like the 1D X. The resolution of the sensor is greater than 75MP. Wow! The rear LCD is shockingly high resolution. So is the frame rate, which is possibly greater than the 1D X; however, I don’t know if that’s at full resolution or not. Presumably, the camera has a new processor (or processors) inside to handle the increased resolution and the higher frame rates. What’s even more interesting is that the source believes that there might be an announcement for this camera prior to the end of 2013; however, availability may not be until next year. Of course, Canon has tested cameras and technologies before that never made it to the market. And, this seems like such a massive jump in resolution from what is currently on the market. However, Nikon jumped from the 12MP D700 to the 36MP D800. Tripling Canon’s top cameras at 20+MP resolutions puts us in the ball park of 75MP. Additionally, Canon has had a 50MP APS-H sensor since at least 2007, and a 120MP APS-H sensor since 2010. A 75MP or higher resolution full frame sensor is not out of the realm of possibility – particularly when we are seeing smartphone cameras at 41MP.
Canon EOS 1S
The Canon EOS 1S has been in the rumor mill for some time as a high resolution pro DSLR, albeit prior rumored specs of 47MP-ish. Just because Canon is testing cameras with 75MP+ sensors doesn’t mean that a 47MP sensor won’t end up in the final model. Likewise, that Canon EOS 3D has been floating around for several years as a rumored high resolution model. Recently, those rumors were revived with possible sightings and claimed specs in the 46MP range. While I believe that this pre-production camera is in the wild, I’m not ready to proclaim that Canon is going to announce a 75MP+ DSLR this year. I just have a hard time believing Canon will make such a big jump. Yes, you read that right – Canon is supposedly testing out a new DSLR camera which will have a monstrous sensor with over 75 million pixels. It will retain the look and build quality of the EOS-1D X, but with a ultra high-resolution rear screen to go alongside the unheard-of sensor.

Purported Ubuntu Edge smartphone images surface online

Canonical is expected to launch its first smartphone, dubbed as Ubuntu Edge , with open source Ubuntu mobile operating system. Sebastian Meas, an Ubuntu app developer, has now posted , on his Google+ account, the list of images tagged with Ubuntu Edge, with a timer at the Canonical website. As of now, there is minimal clarity on whether the upcoming announcement is about the first Ubuntu based smartphone or the Ubuntu mobile OS.

Ubuntu Edge
Ubuntu Edge

From the images, it is quite clear that there is a smartphone running Ubuntu for smartphones platform meant for the superfone. Its box-like design of the phone is quite unusual and there is no branding at all on the front. At the back is the Ubuntu logo. That logo placement is quite similar to the placement of the Apple logo on the iPhone. The volume control buttons are located on the left side upper half of the phone. Power and Sleep button seems to be located on the top.

Ubuntu Edge

The phone has quite a rectangular design and has a square camera lens with LED Flash on the top right at the back side. Apparently, two ports are not clearly visible - micro USB for charging and 3.5 mm audio port.

Ubuntu Edge

I believe that the said image is merely a placeholder or mockup of the upcoming Ubuntu Edge smartphone. It is certainly not a prank or concept design since the images were spotted at the Ubuntu.com website and later were removed or protected from public access.

No timeline for the Ubuntu Edge was spotted but only the promotional text - The line where two surfaces meet.
