South Korea-based tech biggie  has started taking orders for its low-cost, ultrathin 13-inch ATIV Book 9 Lite notebook The ATIV Book 9 Lite was first unveiled by Samsung at its big ATIV event last month. The event primarily underscored the company’s efforts to bring its notebook products together under the ATIV brand, similar to the way it has unified its mobile handsets under the Galaxy brand. The stylish 1.44kg ATIV Book 9 Lite is an ultra-slim notebook, which measures just 16.9 mm at its thickest point. The chassis of the notebook is made of metal, and ensures much more sturdiness than the smooth or “premium” build materials used for the ATIV Book 9 Plus, Samsung’s pack leader in the ultrabook market. The main features of the Windows 8-based ATIV Book 9 Lite notebook include a 13-inch ten-point touchscreen; a 1.4 GHz AMD quad-core processor; a dedicated AMD Radeon graphics card; 4 GB of RAM; and a 128 GB SSD. In addition, the notebook also has a USB 2.0 port; a USB 3.0 port; micro HDMI out; and an SD Card slot. The ATIV Book 9 Lite notebook also features support for Samsung’s so-called SideSync functionality which basically allows users of Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab to connect their devices to notebooks for easy on-screen mirroring. Will you buy this beast for the price?
