Twitter's Vine gets a major Android update

Vine, one of the popular services for creating short, looping videos to share among your social network buddies has updated its Android application. The latest version of Vine for Android comes with a host of new features along with few performance improvements and bug fixes.The update brings the Android app on par with the iPhone version and also comes with a unique feature, which goes by the name “capture widget” that lets you jump straight to the recording screen from your home screen. Vine for Android now allows you to browse and submit your short videos to 15 new channels. You can now share your favorite posts with all your followers on Vine in one single tap. There is a new capture tool in the latest Vine for Android update. The grid overlay for the recording screen allows you to position shots more accurately, while the new ghost mode shows you a copy of the last frame from the previous shot. Lastly, there is a new focus button added. Twitter rolled out an update for Vine on Android today that brings over features previously only found on iOS such as revining, channels, and an improved camera user interface. . The camera portion of the refreshed app has received improved grid and focusing tools. And there's also a new mute button, so you can watch videos in the app without having to listen to them Vine still really wants your business videos. To prove it, the Twitter-owned service has just pushed out another update for Android devices, calling it their “biggest yet.” And guess what? They’re not lying. If they can introduce higher quality video streams (for those of us on fast LTE networks), who knows, maybe I’ll stay.
