Sun not to be nearest to mars in 194 days !

Due to the orbit of the red planet Mars, the rovers that are currently on work on the planet (curiosity and spirit) will have to face longer and colder autumn and winters in the southern hemisphere  compared to if they had been in Northern hemisphere. While the North mars is happy with its 1st day of summer, the mars rover curiosity and opportunity in the red planet's southern hemisphere are enjoying warmth before the equinox takes place on July 31. The upcoming spring/autumn  on Mars will be the Red planet's longest season at 194 days and northern hemisphere's equivalent summer solstice won't occur till Feb 14 , 2014
